Ingredients & Benefits

Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth
While it's more common to use Diatomaceous Earth as a flea prevention or as a pet dewormer, we've added it to Intesti Care to support the natural healthy function of the intestinal system and do not make those claims for this product. People have long added small amounts of DE to their pet's diet for numerous health benefits. Pet owners who have given their pets DE have found their pet has an improved coat, appetite, metabolism, and digestion. DE is largely made up of amorphous silica, but it also contains calcium, magnesium, titanium dioxide, gallium, sodium and other trace minerals. Keep in mind that there are different grades of diatomaceous earth, and it is very important that pet's only ingest food grade diatomaceous earth.

Ground Pumpkin Seeds
Pumpkin seeds have been used to treat a variety of parasitic and other ailments since the colonists first came to the New World and discovered the benefits of this Native American crop. They reportedly used the seeds on wounds, for kidney and urinary complaints, and as a parasitic treatment. While herbalists today also use the seeds of the pumpkin in deworming agents against tapeworms and other intestinal parasites, we have included it in Intesti Care for its nutritional content and make no deworming claims on the product. Pumpkin seeds contain the amino acid called cucurbitin, which supports the natural elimination processes from the digestive tract. Pumpkin seeds are also loaded with protein, amino acids, fiber, iron, copper, phosphorus and magnesium, calcium, zinc, potassium, folic acid and niacin; all important nutrients for your pet’s overall good health.

Ginger Root powder
Ginger is in the same family as turmeric and has been used as a spice and medicine in Asia and Arabia for thousands of years. Humans know ginger as a digestive aid for nausea and upset stomach, and the same benefits can be seen in dogs and cats. But the benefits don't end there. Beyond its digestive benefits it has also been used for more serious conditions like osteoarthritis and cancer.

Slippery Elm Bark powder
Slippery elm contains many nutrients and trace minerals. It coats, soothes, and lubricates the mucous membranes lining the digestive tract. Slippery elm’s high fiber content helps to normalize intestinal action, making it good for treating both diarrhea and constipation! Slippery elm is used in the treatment of inflammatory conditions of the lungs, kidney, bladder, throat, and joints because of its ability to relieve inflammation of virtually any mucous membranes. “Ojibwa Tea” is an herbal mixture that has been widely promoted as cancer-fighting, and slippery elm is one of the herbs used in the original formulation.

Thyme Leaf powder
Thymol, one of the natural chemicals in thyme, is an ingredient in many pesticides and is commonly used to target bacteria, viruses, and other pests. Thyme has been shown to reduce high blood pressure and lower cholesterol. It also contains antioxidants and is a great source of vitamin C and vitamin A. Thyme helps the body to digest and process fatty acids.

Directions for Use

Cats and small dogs: 1 tsp daily
Medium to large dogs: (55lbs and up) 1 tbsp daily

Directions for Use

  • Option 1: Wet or Dry Food
    • Sprinkle dose on pet’s food once a day. Mix in before serving.
  • Option 2: Dry Food
    • Dissolve in 1/4 cup of water then pour over food.
  • Option 3: Dry Food “One and Done Method”
    • This option will also deter insects that may attempt to get into your pet’s food supply. Take note the number of servings in the bag of dry food and add the appropriate number of doses to the bag of food. Shake to distribute evenly, or mix in a large storage bin. Intesti Care will absorb the scent of the food and become almost indistinguishable.

  1. Jessi G.

Great preventative product! My cat is an indoor/outdoor pet and has contracted worms in the past, so I am thrilled to have discovered a product that can prevent it, while containing natural ingredients that are safe for my pet to consume daily. It was very easy to use and I feel so much better about letting him roam outside without fear of contracting them again!

My grandma has a toy puddle and I got this one for her. It helps a lot to maintain dogs stomach health, deworms the tract in a gentle, no toxic way. It is awesome that there are no harmful chemicals, so it won’t cause any damage to the furry buddy digestive system. I would definitely recommend this supplement, Im all for natural dietary add on and certainly will be buying more in the future

  3. Desiree

This is truly a great product to prevent worms in my cat who is always outdoors! I love that the product is all natural and that it is much safer than other chemical dewormers currently on the market and it actually works.
Would love to see this product approved for chickens and other poultry since there are no approved dewormers I have been able to get in Canada. I tried this product on my chickens recently and it has been working great so far! Very impressed with how effective this product is considering it contains no harsh chemicals.

  4. Charmaine Eby

I was so excited to receive this product. Both of my dogs (Maltese Bichon) have digestive issues.
The idea of putting it right in their food was fabulous. Because the food bag was only 5 lb, I put in about 9 scoops. The problem I had was that it did not absorb into the food. Made kibble all white and softer. The dogs wouldn’t eat any of it for a few days. I managed to shake the bag more to settle the product in. The dogs have since started eating it and seem perfectly happy with it now. I haven’t noticed any worms or parasites yet but I am sure it will clear any up. I love natural products so I am really happy with this. Thanks so much for making a healthy product that absorbs into kibble.

  5. Harmony M

I love that this product is all natural and safe for my dogs. There are no mystery, hard to read ingredients. So far so good. Even my picky dog will eat it mixed into her food. I haven’t noticed any worm passings in their stools yet but they have been infected previously in the past.

  6. Tracy

A great alternative to prescribed deworming medication. Gentle enough to use everyday to help maintain infestation. Good grade diatomaceous earth is gentle and non toxic which is the added benefit. I will certainly buy this for our Jack Russell in the future. A great, easy product to use!

  7. Jasmin

Absolutely amazing product! My puppy has a habit of catching mice and eating them, has contracted worms at least once since we’ve had her. After seeing this product on facebook I decided to give it a try and see how well it works… NOT one issue! one scoop a day for my pup and it’s done wonders for her! Even her stools don’t stick to my floors!! Definitely 5 star product and will continue to use products from here.
